When considering how to furnish your living room there are some easy decisions and some harder ones. Essentially, you need something to sit on, a table or two and some storage. Something to sit on could be a sofa, some chairs or a combination of the two, matching or possibly contrasting. Tables? a coffee table for putting cups, books and papers on and something for a side light to sit on. Some storage in the form of a sideboard, bookcases, cupboards or a console table which can be used to both display your favourite decorative items and also hide away all the things you need day to day.
Easy to say that is all you need but what sort of style do you want? Would you like a matching set of furniture or would you like to pick conrasting but complementary items. Should you go for contemporary furniture or something more traditional?
